This portion of the trip was by far the most rushed part. Some cities were only visited for a few hours, or one day. Plus, we spent more time swimming in rivers and, in my case, battling a wicked hangover (only one of the trip!), and then eating a half kilo of cherries to recover. Therefore, I consider these pics to be the 'quirky' ones, as opposed to the more artistic ones from italy that are up next.
Amsterdam, Netherlands
one street over from our 'hood', the red light district, where no pictures are allowed
Brussels, Belgium

this is the river that we swam in at Englisch park. It was terrifying.
brian's head bobbing, as I nerdily ran to catch up with my camera
about 10 minutes after this picture was taken, this man--who was on his honeymoon--started a fight that would land him in the hospital. I believe he was from Cino, the same town as Ryan from the OC
Bern, Switzerland
switzerland was by far the cleanest, most polite and most organized country we visited
