I'm not sure who was the mastermind behind having a chocolate lover's convention in Montreal, but if I ever meet the genius, I will kiss his or her feet.
I spent last Saturday living the dream: tasting, licking, crunching and drinking chocolate in dozens of forms. I drank chocolate tea. I sipped rose petal wine with a chocolate accompianiment. I dipped fruit in chocolate. I ate chocolate pretzels. I tried an array of chocolate chips from across the globe. I tasted maple and white chocolate chips. I admired sculptures made of chocolate, and then after the dizzying sugar rush faded to a zombie-esque low, I went home and fell into a deep chocolate coma.
It was one of the best days of my life. That is all.

toblerone in the freezer is the best.
something about cold chocolate is what does it for me.
Ooh, I've never tried that before!
Wow - I'm so jealous! Those chocolate creations look amazing. When is this chocolate paradise coming to Winnipeg?!
Mmmmm, chocolate. A few Christmas's ago I went to an absolutely ridiculous million dollar party for my mom's old place of work (a luxury home corporation where she did HR) and there was a seven foot tall dark chocolate fountain next to a matching white chocolate fountain, surrounded by piles of strawberries and other fruit. It was insane.
In other chocolate news, I had dinner with my grandparents tonight and they brought chocolate mousse cake over to Adam's. It was tasty.
Love the pics! The tree is neat.
German man: We understand, Dalls. After all, we are from the land of chocolate!
Dallas: Mmm, the land of chocolate...
(slips into daydream)
German Man: Dallas?
Dallas: Oh, I'm sorry, we were talking about chocolate?
German Man: That was 10 minutes ago!
